In addition to the main reason for using pneumatic conveying technology, namely the prevention of odor nuisance and corrosion, there are a number of other advantages to OEKERMANN systems.
An important point is the extraordinary resistance of the systems to solids, foreign objects of all kinds that are typically found in wastewater.
The wastewater disposal from highway PWC rest areas is a common application: Surprisingly, there are hardly any disruptions here, even though all kinds of waste is thrown away and ends up in the wastewater systems, especially in such facilities.
Over 40 such rest areas are already being serviced with OEKERMANN systems to the complete satisfaction of the operators. Most recently, in 2015, several pumping stations were put into operation in Hesse, and in 2020, multiple systems were installed in North Rhine-Westphalia. Further projects are in progress.
