Post-purging Process
Pneumatic wastewater pumping systems from OEKERMANN are equipped with an automatic post-purging mechanism that regularly flushes and almost completely clears (= post-purges) the wastewater pressure pipes.
This prevents deposits from forming in pressure pipes; the wastewater always remains ‘fresh’; the clarification process at the treatment plant is thereby facilitated and even enhanced by the oxygenation of the wastewater.
Odor problems do not arise for residents, neither at the pumping station nor at the outlet shaft of the pressure pipe.
When and how often a post-purging process should be triggered can be easily set by the user according to various criteria via the OEKERMANN electronics and modified if necessary.
