Wastewater disposal from campsites is a common application for pneumatic wastewater pumping systems.
As campsites are often located away from public developments, the pressure pipes are usually long. The wastewater volume fluctuates greatly with the seasons, and with conventional pump technology, in many cases, putrefaction processes and consequently corrosion and odor problems would be expected.
A system from the early days of OEKERMANN (built in 1982) at a campsite in Vlotho on the Weser River was upgraded in early 2016 by renewing the electronic control system and other electrical components.
The old control system had successfully served its purpose for over 34 years; now the campsite owners have gained renewed operational reliability for the coming years with modern electronics. Additionally, the system operates even more economically due to new software functions.
