Pneumatic Wastewater Conveyance with Double Systems
For systems with small and medium capacities and pressures, e.g. for the drainage of small communities, usually 2 working vessels and 2 working air compressors are used.
With low wastewater inflow, the wastewater is conveyed in an economical base load operation with one working air compressor. If more wastewater flows into the system than is being conveyed, a second working air compressor is activated.
The two working vessels are always filled and emptied alternately, resulting in an economical operation.
A base load alternating circuit ensures an even load on the compressors.
The control air for valves and pneumatic valves is generated by a separate control air compressor, so that the full system capacity is always available for wastewater conveyance.
The systems can be installed on 1 – 3 levels, completely underground or with an above-ground component. This is usually determined by the size of the working vessels and compressors as well as individual customer requirements. The depth of the structure is mainly determined by the depth of the incoming gravity sewer.
For certain system types, OEKERMANN supplies GRP cabinets for above-ground installation upon special customer request.
